Dublin has recently become a UNESCO City of Literature and where better to celebrate World Book Day on March 3rd? World Book Day was designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.

In the UK and Ireland, this year’s World Book Day will take place on Thursday 3rd March.

One of the main aims of the day is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading so public libraries and schools will be getting involved with a range of activities to celebrate the day.
