I’m not an old lady, but I’ve already re-read childhood favorites that haven’t stood the test of time (Malory Towers comes to mind). Some I’m even afraid to re-visit/ But I’m sure Anne of Green Gables has a great chance to challenge the test of time.
I’ve only read the book when I was in my early 20s (about 10 years ago), but I grew up with the very faithful Japanese adaptation.
